BIOMEDICAL SIGNAL MEASUREMENT provides knowledge regarding the various biomedical measurement devices in medical field. This module emphasis on the definition of terminologies, basic principles, measurement method and the use of equipment to acquire biomedical signal measurement from the patient such as blood pressure, ECG (Electrocardiograph), EEG (Electroencephalograph) and EMG (Electromyograph) as well as the transducer principle and bio-medicine signal enhancers.

This course covers the principles of communications, analog and digital modulation techniques, multiplexing and transmission medium. ELECTRONIC COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN covers the basic concept and fundamentals of electronic circuit simulation. It also covers the applications of electronic packages for electronic circuit simulation at the circuit level and the logic level. Emphasis is given to the simulation for analogue, digital logic and mixed- signal circuits using various types of simulation analysis. Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout is then produced for the circuits. The simulation and the PCB layout are done using electronic software package such as Protel / Altium Designer, ORCAD, PSpice, Circuit Maker or Electronic Workbench.
